The Flood (1656 AM) falls outside Week 2, which closes at 1400 AM. "The first end" more likely refers to the end of genetically uncorrupted humanity through Watcher interbreeding. Noah is the man "saved" not from the Flood here, but preserved with an untainted bloodline (Gen 6:9 — "perfect in his generations"). The Flood itself is the later consequence, arriving after Week 2 closes.

Enoch's phrasing is explicitly "after it is ended" — this is not the close of Week 2 but a transitional aftermath bleeding into Week 3. The growing unrighteousness and law for sinners follow the Watcher corruption as a downstream consequence, not a simultaneous event.

Of all ten weeks, this is the least certain identification. The Jericho scroll discovery is the strongest of three candidates — stronger than the Cluniac Reform (right timing, wrong subject) or Bede's computus (right subject, wrong calendar) — but it is a circumstantial match on timing, location, and community, not a proven one. Unlike Weeks 1–8, this week carries no dated marker — by design. On the schema's own numbers it runs 1676–2375 AD, the week we are currently living inside, so much of it has not yet happened; whatever this verse describes is either still unfolding or has not yet begun. The companion essay reads it structurally rather than tying it to a date.
